Blower Door Analysis
The blower door is used to determine the building envelope's air-tightness and to discover what areas are most appropriate for air sealing. By depressurizing the home's volume a blower door in conjuntion with an infrarred camera help expose leaky problem areas that should be addressed with any number of air sealing techniques. In some jurisdictions such as Aspen's Efficient Building Program a blower door analysis is required to determine the air changes per hour so that the project is actually meeting the required standards of air sealing.
